Installing a pool is an exciting time! Here’s what you can expect during the installation stage of your pool.
- Site Preparation: Before excavation, the site will be prepared for your pool installation. We are required by Texas state law to call 48 hours before breaking ground. Texas 811 will mark the utilities inside the yard, but please note that Texas 811 will not mark private lines, only those from utility companies. Private lines will need a third-party plumber to mark gas lines, sewer lines, and water lines.Â
- Excavation: The first step in the installation process is to excavate the area where the pool will be placed. The excavation will need to be done to the measurements and shape of the pool to ensure a perfect fit.
- Delivery and Placement of the Pool: The fiberglass pool will be delivered to the site and carefully lowered into the excavation site using a crane. The pool will be leveled and aligned to ensure a proper fit.
- Plumbing and Electrical: The pool's plumbing and electrical systems will be installed, including the pool pump, filter, and heater.
- Backfilling and Grading: Once the pool is in place, the area around the pool will be backfilled with gravel, and the ground will be graded to create a smooth and level surface.
- Decking and Finishing Touches: The final step is to install the pool deck and finish the pool with the acrylic finishes.Final hookup of electric and gas lines before turnover.Â
Overall, the installation process for a fiberglass pool is generally quicker and easier than other types of pools, but it still requires careful planning and attention to detail to ensure a safe and beautifully finished product. Trust the experts at David Pool and Spa to always execute installation impeccably.
While we don’t offer a regular service route, we do provide professional water care testing, expert advice, and emergency pool care. Bring in a sample of your water to be tested by one of our experienced water care professionals using BioGuard’s® state-of-the-art water testing equipment, ALEX®.
We can test your water and analyze the chemical composition, including pH, chlorine or other sanitizer levels, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and more. We can then recommend specific treatments or adjustments to balance your water and keep it safe and comfortable for swimming or soaking. We encourage all of our customers to have their water professionally tested at least once a month during the busiest months of the season to catch problems before they occur.
